Endelave Endelave is situated in Kattegat off Horsens Fjord, scarcely 10 kilometres from the mainland. The island covers 13,2 sq km, 1/3 being forest, heathland and common, the rest cultivated. There are approx. 175 permanent residents. However, there is also a large summer house area near Lynger Hage on the southeast coast. Hjarnø is situated in Horsens Fjord, only 800 metres from the mainland. It covers 3,2 sq. km - 3 km long and 1 km wide, and the permanent population is 135. The buildings consists of the small ferry landing on the beach and a row of beautiful farms that lie along a road running east-west in the middle of the island. Taking the ferry from Snaptun to Alrø is a very special outing. It only takes foot passengers and bicycles. Alrø lies just north of Hjarnø and is connected to the mainland by a causeway. The ferry provides a unique opportunity to sail across Horsens Fjord and explore the Hov-Odder area by bike.
